Unter Verwendung von roten oder blauen Farblupen konnten jeweils andere Worte im Text, sowie andere Motive in der Fotomontage erkannt werden.
Je nach Farbwahl treten sie hervor oder sind nicht sichtbar.
In der Zeit, als sich Byzanz und der Westen stark bekämpften entstanden bereits viele, noch heute aufrechte, Vorurteile und bereits damals fanden beide Seiten häufig auch keine freundlichen Worte füreinander. Wobei die Farbe rot (also Purpur) für den (vermeintlich) friedlichen Osten und die Farbe blau für den "kämpferischen Westen" stand/steht.

At the time when Byzantium and the West were fighting each other, many prejudices arose that still exist today, and even then, both sides often did not find
friendly words for each other.
The colour red (purple) stands/stood for the "peaceful "East and the colour blue for the "fighting West".
